Our First Art Docent Day!...

Today’s lesson was an introduction to texture via the works of Henri Matisse, Diego Rivera, M.C. Escher, and others. The students created their own works of art using oil pastels, glue, and various fabrics and materials. They did a fantastic job! A big thank you to Ms. Wootton for being our art docent!

Pinwheels for Peace ’08...

Today students participated in the Pinwheels for Peace project in honor of the International Day of Peace taking place this Sunday. After a discussion on the meaning of peace in terms of individuality, local interaction, and global harmony, we created pinwheels to honor “whirled peace”.
