The California Energy Commission is holding its 2010 Energy Calendar Art Contest! This contest is perfectly aligned with our current study of electricity as well as our Earth Day Extravaganza newsletter that we will begin after Spring Break. In order to participate, visit the rules here or take a look at the flyer sent home today. The various stories/pages at http://www.energyquest.ca.gov will guide your calendar submission. Good luck! Submissions are due to me by April 20th, or you can mail them directly to the contest.
Tomorrow, March 28th, 2009 is Earth Hour! For one hour, beginning at 8:30 P.M., people across the world will turn off all their electrical devices! Even Las Vegas is taking part! In tribute, from 1:20-2:20 today, Room 36 turned off all its power and went without! Take part with your family and visit 
Our current Friday Accelerated Reading goal is 22.5 points. Our Accelerated Math goal is 36 objectives. 16.0 AR points and 26 AM objectives are required for a passing grade. If your child is behind, time will be given during recess to attain this week's goal.
